Corporate 5's Fantasy League - Game Week 4 Preview
Updated: Oct 1
It’s been a strange beginning to the Premier League season, a late start, still no fans and lots of goals and unpredictability on the pitch.
The unpredictability has made it difficult for fantasy football managers this year, but the standard in the Corporate 5's league remains high. Andrew Ducille leads having averaged an impressive 73 points over the first 3 game weeks and he currently sits in the top 45,000 of all players worldwide. He leads Henry Ivey (Chelsea FC) by just two points, after a bad week for Henry scoring only 35 points after 93 and 84 in the first two weeks. There's just 14 points currently separating the top 6 players.
A special mention for Jason Heaton from Conifa, having missed the first two game weeks he only set his team up this week but was the top scorer this week with 87 points and has brought himself into the game. Vardy as captain proved an inspired choice.
This week there's a prize up for grabs, our friends at ViDrate have kindly donated a 30 pack of their delicious flavoured sachets for the weekly top points scorer. ViDrate has been designed to help you drink more water and they've developed a product that is made from 100% natural ingredients, contains zero sugar and has added vitamins and electrolytes to boost mental and physical performance.
They're also offering free taster packs to all of the players in our league - which can be redeemed here.
If you’re looking for some inspiration for this week, we’ve spoken to FPL 'Guru' Matty Day from @FPL_Addicts and he's recommended the following 3 players to watch this week as potential differentials. Differentials are lower value players who are selected by a lower number of teams. The likes of Salah (39%), Aubameyang (29%) and De Bruyne (43%) are selected by such a high number of players that it's difficult to make up ground with these players, instead you are simply not losing ground if they score well.
The differentials are the players that can make a real difference to your team and help you to climb up the table as they're selected by such a small percentage of managers.
Here's Matty's 3 to watch out for this week:
1. Tammy Abraham (selected by 2.7% of managers)
Slightly risky with the number of attacking options that Chelsea have but scored last week and Chelsea look to have a favourable fixture at home to Crystal Palace.
2. James Maddison (selected by 2.8% of managers)
Started the season on the bench after recovering from injury but returned for 20 mins in the demolition of Man City. Got a goal and an assist in his short cameo and should get his starting spot back this week.
3. Riyad Mahrez (selected by 3.5% of managers)
Another slightly risky one with Man City's rotation in the attacking areas but with Jesus and Aguero still both out injured, he should start this week. Scored 12 points in a losing cause last week.
